Ian is the Managing Director of FMCR. He is a Front Office specialist widely recognised for his derivatives and risk management expertise, and for building high quality, collaborative teams.
Prior to establishing FMCR, Ian traded in spot FX, Options and Swaps before becoming RBS Global Head of Interest Rates and Forward FX. Ian later became Head of Market Risk, RBS Americas, and also spent time as the Head of Commodity Risk at Sempra JV. In 2010, Ian was appointed Global Head of Market Risk for FICC, before establishing the Front Office Risk team – within this role, he undertook leadership positions with regard to the investigation and remediation of several high-profile regulatory matters.
